Sleep: Completely Overrated

I should go to sleep.

Really.  I got something idiotic like two hours sleep last night.  Today was a freaking zoo.  It’s 11:30pm and the smart thing to do here would be shutting off the computer and crawling into bed.

The operative words in the above sentence are, of course, “smart thing”.

Never my strength.

Now, here’s the interesting thing . . . as I was weighing my options about whether to crawl off to bed or try my hand at sleep-deprived creativity, I had the thought, I really should go to sleep.

And then I thought, hey, that’s not a bad way to get this chapter rolling.

Now, I did write last night, and I was quite happy with what I got.  Still didn’t feel perfect, but at least it felt like I was finally on the right track.

I really should go back to sleep.

That’s where it is now.  Feeds into last night’s stuff really well.  Strikes the right tone.  Might just be the thing I’m looking for.

So, here we go.  What the hell, I can sleep tomorrow . . .

Sleepytimes

Huh.  Okay, well, three blogs in one night, and a nice chunk of Chapter Six (which I’m 90% sure I’ll have to tweak or flat-out rewrite tomorrow) and I suppose I should be going to bed.

Not like I didn’t get an hour of sleep last night, and drive all over New York City today, or anything.

Toodles!

Lazy!

So, I want to get to 20,000 words, but I just feel SO lazy right now.

Jessy just put fresh sheets on the bed and you KNOW that’s so inviting . . . mmmm, warm, fresh sheets . . .
